THE MAG PRIDE SPECIAL  Introduction  Welcome to THE MAG PRIDE SPECIAL. It's going to be a busy few weeks in Brighton & Hove with so much going on.. Anyone who lives in this city will be used to the LGBTQ+ Pride event at the start of August but a week beforehand, an important event is taking place for our community. Autistic Pride/Craft Fair takes place at the Unitarian Church and Puzzle Bored on Saturday July 25. Only having been officially diagnosed with autism in May (and ADHD on July 1), this event is something that wouldn't really have mattered to me before I was first told that it was a possibility and eventually a reality that I was a member of the neurodiverse community. Now it is an event that means everything to me and I can't wait to attend on the 25th. This special Pride edition will include the most comprehensive preview of the Autistic Pride/Craft Fair event that you can see. Please spread the word about this totally free, non-profit blog.  THE MAG EXTRA Introduction Welcome to THE MAG EXTRA, my companion blog to THE MAG which was launched at the end of June. Thank you for the positive response shown to that and it is well worth paying another visit to that as more groups and events have been added to the listings guide. So how does this blog differ from THE MAG? Well, rather than being a listings guide, this blog is going to include news, interviews and reviews all related to the Autism and ADHD community. It is not specifically about Brighton and Hove unlike THE MAG and will include articles about events far and wide. Years ago, I used to publish magazines about professional wrestling. I still follow WWE etc and in this edition, we have articles about three women from WWE who either have autism or ADHD. We also have a book review, news about an OpenLearn 'Understandng Autism' course and a review of the documentary 'Room to Move.'
